Since
the publication of the Royal College of Paediatrics
and Child Health working party report on Sudden
Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI report) there
has been a much great emphasis on the competency
and professionalism of medical experts in all areas
of litigation.
The GMC hearing and subsequent appeals in the case
of Professor Sir Roy Meadow has also emphasised
the need for good quality training and awareness
amongst medical experts about their role and responsibilities.
The Expert Witness Area contains details of training
courses we are running and other resources that
may be of use to those undertaking medical expert
work. If you have any questions please contact Joanne
